Privacy Policy

SMS Access Manager is an internal Axis Hotels application for receiving inbound SMS messages on company-controlled Android phones and delivering those messages to the SMSAssist backend for authorized business workflows.

Data Collected

The application collects inbound SMS sender, recipient, message body, received timestamp, SIM slot metadata, generated device identifier, application version, battery level, and network status. It can read existing inbound SMS from the phone inbox when an Axis administrator triggers manual historical sync. It sends outbound SMS only for approved SMSAssist commands.

Purpose

SMS data is used only to route business-critical incoming messages to authorized Axis users in the SMSAssist console. SMS data is not used for advertising, profiling, resale, or unrelated analytics.

Access And Sharing

Access is restricted by Axis internal authentication and SMSAssist access rules. SMS data is not shared with third parties except infrastructure providers that host or secure the Axis internal service.

Security

Device tokens are generated locally and stored through Android Keystore. SMS bodies are encrypted in transit to the backend and encrypted at rest in the SMSAssist database. Local offline queues are encrypted on the device.

Retention

SMS records are retained according to Axis internal operational and audit requirements. Records can be archived in the SMSAssist console without being physically deleted from audit storage.
